To my Christian, Muslim and Hebrew friends

Those of us who believe in the ten commandments or the decalogue must think long and hard about the the command - "Thou shalt not kill." . Elsewhere it is indicated that the length of a man's days is determined by the divine. The intuitive in me tells me that life is sacred and that all taking of life is profane.
Here is where the whole world falls in the pit. They usurp the will of God and determine the situations where it is ok to kill and in these circumstances it is ok to murder each other because there is always a just cause.
The daemon in me looks at the reasons everyone has for their justifications and finds in every case the case of an angry, hurt or damaged person who has usurped the right of the creator of life.
And when we start it is always those who have experienced the most personal and painful deaths of their loved ones who can see the goodness in killing another. From there it becomes justice to call killing execution. The murderer must be punished and so society institutes laws to execute those who have committed murder. Now the society or state or government has the right to usurp God's right and determine when it is OK to kill. Mostly for murder but then once you have this right it allows for the logic of extension from murder to treason or rape. The people buy the logic and the next thing we know people can be killed for disobeying  rules in sacred books. The next step is people can be killed by the state for the good of the state. That step was the worst of all. We are now logically ready as human beings to wage horrible and bloody wars that can go on for years. The aggrieved nation always has its reasons for its actions. It always escalates. Eventually we will find the aggrieved nation with the justification to use nuclear weapons on those who have wronged them. You will find from this post no argument against any of the particpants. Just a question. What would happen if we gave the right of judging life and death back to God.
